1. Explore and analyze various genres of works, such as fiction, prose, poetry, playwriting, intermediate creative writing etc. and develop their working knowledge.
2. Select at least one literary work in each of the categories in fiction, prose, poetry, playwriting and intermediate creative writing for students to learn how to appreciate and discuss.
3. Students are to choose two genres of works within these categories to write.
4. Each student is to submit two pieces of works, where interpretation, discussion and critics of the works should be included in the presentation. Students are to make revision to the writing by incorporating comments/inputs from their course mates and lecturer before submitting the works for final assessment.
